Secale cereale winter. Very easy to grow and abundant.  Plant in the fall with enough water for germination and growth of about 2-3 inches prior to freezing temperatures.  Winter rye will go dormant during the winter and grow quickly in the spring for an early cover crop to till for summer crops or grow to maturation for a rye harvest in late summer.  Great in sourdough starters, breads, pilafs and other culinary delights. 20g packets
